RCIS is currently looking for a Precision Farming Technical Account Manager (PF TAM) to join our Crop team. This individual can work from an RCIS office location or remote and will support the Southeast/Winston Salem region with travel to all areas of the RCIS market for precision farming services.

Our PF TAM will handle industry-leading technology providing agents, farmers and team members access to information when, where and how they wish.Technical expertise and a service oriented mindset are vital to managing Crop’s largest accounts. This role will have a variety of responsibilities focusing on precision farming solutions and support.In addition to trouble shooting technology issues; working with our internal software development team; performing GAP analysis; and being the liaison with the field, product, and IT services.

Key Accountabilities

  • Subject Matter Expert for supporting and delivering precision farming technology solutions and supported services offered by RCIS.

  • Provide RCIS IT Agency account management by acting as a liaison between assigned agent customers (Customers) and the RCIS Sales/Service organization as it relates to RCIS Technology offerings.

  • Provide prioritized problem resolution and proactive IT services on behalf of Customers.

  • Promote RCIS IT software product and technical solutions to Customers that will increase RCIS market share.

  • Support system configuration and integration testing including the functionality, performance and fit to ensure original requirements are met.

  • Serve as a consultant to Customers evaluating their IT infrastructure/systems ensuring they are compatible with current and future RCIS software / technology products, identifying risks as appropriate.

  • Work with the RSO and IT to prioritize support efforts, communicate end to end incident status, and escalate specific issues to RCIS support teams.

  • 50 to 60% business travel average throughout the year.

Business Accountabilities

  • Engage with RCIS supported vendors that support our Precision Ag Services.

  • Stay current with vendor solutions and technology changes for precision farming.

  • Maintain an in depth understanding of third-party tools used by RCIS agents and producers.(Examples are AgLeader® SMS™, FarmWorks™)

  • Internal subject matter expert assisting team members to learn and apply PF services.

  • RCIS primary point of contact for agent and producer precision farming needs relating to crop insurance.

  • Primary contact for agent to set up

  • Using vendor service an education role with setting up producer invitation and account creation.

  • Reviewing data exports, attributes and data alignment

  • Support new POC or pilot initiatives relating to precision farming and smart farm services working with the lead Product Manager to define and execute new services.

  • Partner with other TAMs for agency support as needed.

  • Demonstrate, promote and support RCIS Technology offerings to Customers and potential RCIS agents partnering with RCIS IT, Field Service Representatives and Regional Business Development Representatives.

  • Educate and train agents and team members on technology usage efficiencies and issue resolutions.

  • Proactively identify and communicate Customer training needs to the Field Service Manager(s) FSM as it relates to RCIS software offerings. Help provide identified needed training as appropriate and approved by FSM.

  • Understand market place, how Customers use RCIS product, and competitive use of other products. Identify, promote and help support new products and services that will enhance customer relationships and provide increased efficiencies for RCIS and our customers.

  • May be required to be available via phone to handle off hours, high priority customer situations.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area

OR

High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Information Technology area

AND

Process reengineering, e.g. LEAN/Six Sigma, Continuous improvement methodologies

Process modeling tools

Business Systems Integration

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of three year experience working with precision agriculture services and related vendor tools.

  • Minimum of two years in a software delivery and implementation working with end users.

  • Understand of mobile technology and data workflow across internal and external platforms.

  • Three or more years crop insurance or agriculture industry experience.

  • Ability present in multiple delivery channels including virtual and in person to inform and explain precision farming and associated RCIS technology in both individual, small, and large group settings.

  • Able to identify and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills needed; ability to tailor approach based upon audience and message

  • Understanding of Service Level Agreements and Operating Level Agreements.

  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and communication skills especially for software usage and Agency PC system environment issues.

  • Demonstrated Customer Relationship Management Skills with the ability to communicate effectively to customers, IT and business staff.

  • Ability to effectively manage workload, meet assigned timelines, demonstrate urgency & resolve complex problems both independently and as part of the team.
