National Account Specialist - Rental
Zurich is currently looking for a National Account Specialist to grow our Western Region within our Substitute and Temporary Transportation (Rental) team.
As a member of Zurich's Sales Team you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply your sales and marketing ability and account management skills to encourage long term development of new revenue producing accounts within the Rental space.
Specifically, you will profitably grow revenue through strategic broker and customer relationships and monitor operational development through performance, financial and operations management, and special projects.
The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of insurance products and coverage to be a sound advisor. They will also be proactive, creative, and solution oriented. This team member will continue to build deep relationships with our customers and present the Zurich value proposition to deliver profitable growth in the region.
Client Externally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to external clients and/or customers. Typically involves building relationships and promoting the company.
Additionally, our National Account Specialist is responsible for:
Business Development relative to short, mid and long range goals.
Managing sales pipeline, effectively executes sales strategies and campaigns to achieve goals related to sales calls, submissions, and production.
Maintaining opportunity assessment with key brokers and customers to identify growth opportunities and generate new and referral activity.
Creating business plans that leverage Zurich´s broad range of insurance products and services.
Effective communication to all levels of the organization and external customers to ensure success.
Effectively using the high efficiency solution-selling platform and integrating outcomes measurement.
Qualifying accounts to meet with Zurich´s appetite and partnering with underwriters to negotiate and close accounts.
- Bachelors Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Sales area
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Sales area
Travel required up to 50% (Territory to include: Western U.S.)
Experience with account management underwriting loss development, and underwriter communication
Portfolio management experience
Experience with principles of sales, sales techniques, and sales terminology
Exposure to and utilization of technology such as MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and SalesForce
Ability to facilitate critical business relationships both to internal and external stakeholders
Strong understanding of insurance industry from a market and underwriting perspective
Licensed to sell insurance products
In-depth understanding of the principles of sales, sales techniques, and sales terminology
Leadership skills including planning and budgeting
Ability to multi-task
Experience working in a team environment
