Business Development Lead Consultant – Risk Management

Location: Home Based – UK (Travel required)

Salary: up to £55,000, plus Commission (up to 30%) plus Car

The opportunity:

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team working as a Business Development Lead Consultant focused on managing and retaining an existing client portfolio in addition to identifying and winning new business. This is the perfect role for an individual with a client-facing business development background, preferably in risk management, with ambitions to join and flourish at a marker leading insurer and award-winning risk engineering team.

This position is home-based, however there will be a requirement to create relationships in local markets which will mean spending regular time in our offices and travelling to customer locations.

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver growth and generate business opportunities to deliver risk management services.

  • Work with our existing and new clients and brokers to understand their business needs.

  • Demonstrate strong team working ability in order to create excellent relationships to ensure the business achieves defined goals and targets.

  • Present our technical capabilities to key customers and stakeholders.

Experience required:

  • A strong commercial business development background and the ability to manage and retain an existing portfolio of clients.

  • Be able to generate new opportunities and follow these up to build a strong pipeline.

  • Demonstrate strong team working ability to create and maintain excellent internal and external relationships to ensure the business achieves defined goals and targets.

  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

  • Stakeholder management.

And what would really make you stand out is if you have:

  • Knowledge of risk management and loss prevention practices for Liability, Motor and Cyber risks.

  • Appreciation of strategic and operational risk areas.

The Reward:

The salary for this role is up to £55K, depending on experience, plus commission (up to 30%), plus company car.
