Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Senior Consultant - Business Transformation to support local and global , strategic and operational priorities.

As a Senior Consultant reporting to the Head of Business Transformation, you will spearhead top-tier projects that are crucial for delivering Zurich Canada’s strategic objectives. You'll design and implement the most expansive and intricate projects and initiatives, often spanning multiple departments and gaining significant visibility. Employing a proactive and comprehensive approach to business practices, you'll equip sponsors and team members with methodologies, tools, and metrics essential for project success. Throughout project lifecycles, you'll champion effective change management practices, enhancing execution and delivery. Collaborating extensively across departments, you'll devise and execute change management strategies, serving as a driving force behind initiatives aligned with overarching strategic goals. Your role will encompass leadership, influence, and transformative action, positioning you as a pivotal agent of change within the organization.

What you will do

• Drives the definition, structuring, execution and close-out of strategic projects and other initiatives.

• Leads, influences, diagnoses, and helps develop recommendations to solve complex and ambiguous business practice and process problems.

• Acts as a business practice and process improvement Subject Matter Expert (SME) through facilitation, mentoring, and quality review of initiatives and projects leading to measurable benefits and results.

• Engage and ensure processes are fit for purpose, supporting the design, build, and test of the changes and business readiness/training activities.

• Ensures specific metrics and measures are incorporated into solutions enabling continuous improvement.

• Acts as a change management lead on cross-functional initiatives and projects to provide the common change management and implementation view where appropriate.

• Demonstrates ability to create 'win/win' solutions through leadership, influence, facilitation, and teamwork.

• Partners across the business on the identification of business improvement opportunities, and acts as a catalyst to accelerate and drive the execution of solutions that integrate local, regional and/or global strategic and operational priorities.

• Participates in the development, implementation, and institutionalization of best practices around project execution and change management.

• Provides methodologies and tools to support sponsors & teams to drive initiatives to intended results, institutionalize the process, and develop a culture that embraces change.

• Ensures specific metrics and measures incorporated into solutions reflect the business strategy, track progress, capture the impact of changes, and identify further opportunities for improvement.

• Leverages skills and resources from various functional disciplines (e.g., Operational Transformation, Process Optimization, Data, Information Technology, etc.)

• May administer one or more business applications, including leading User or Prioritization Councils, annual planning of enhancements and releases, prioritization of enhancements, testing, communication and implementation.

• Interacts with SMEs and key management across the organization, both locally and globally.

• Support the Business Transformation leadership in implementing strategic initiatives at team levels.

Job Qualifications- What you bring to the table

Required:

• Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in Business Transformation, Business Transformation, Business Consulting or Change Management.

OR

• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in Business Transformation, Business Consulting or Change Management Field.

Preferred:

• Prior Insurance experience; preferably in a P&C environment.

• Bachelor's Degree.

• Extensive experience in the design and implementation of target operating models, business process transformation/re-engineering, process management, capital projects, data visualization, and reporting.

• Demonstrable Internal Consulting or Management Consulting experience in the area of Insurance.

• Ability to develop collaborative relationships.

• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization, from entry-level to senior leaders.

• Strong project management and time management skills.

• Experience in digital solutions and automation projects, if any, will be an added advantage.

• Ability to think strategically and solve complex problems.

• Ability to learn new concepts and capabilities rapidly through self-driven learning and research.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities.

• Strong change management, process management, and communication and training plan development experience.

• Experience leading projects from idea to post-implementation.
