Zurich North America is currently looking for two experienced Talent Sourcers to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition team. The roles will be based at our headquarters location in Schaumburg, Illinois. In this role you will directly impact the quality of candidates we hire by sourcing and prescreening top quality talent in the marketplace. You will partner closely with Talent Acquisition team members, Hiring Managers and Strategic HR Business Partners to understand current and future hiring needs while developing and executing creative sourcing strategies to engage a strong pipeline of diverse, passive talent to open roles within Zurich. Areas of focus may include, but are not limited to underwriting, claims, operations/IT, market facing/sales and strategy/innovation.

The ideal candidate will bring a passion and experience in candidate research, market intelligence, passive candidate outreach and sourcing and developing relationships with talent both within and outside of Zurich. We are looking for a team player that is innovative, resourceful, data-driven and capable of managing complex candidate pipelines, presenting to executives/leaders and managing recruiter relationships.

As a Talent Acquisition Sourcer, you will:

  • Collaborate with Talent Acquisition team members, Hiring Managers, Business Leaders and Strategic HR Business Partners as appropriate to assess talent requirements, build innovative sourcing and engagement strategies, drive and manage candidate pipelines to explore, leverage, and support our commitment to building talented diverse teams

  • Conduct candidate generation activities for active talent needs, including a diverse pool, for the area(s) of recruitment supported

  • Conduct candidate screenings to validate qualifications and provide an overall assessment of both technical/functional baseline relative to the position

  • Act as a trusted advisor and establishes a deep understanding of role requirements and business strategy, while contributing towards a positive candidate and hiring team experience

  • Expand pipelines through execution of strategic research, sourcing campaigns, market mapping via multiple sourcing channels, and leveraging feedback to drive continuous improvement

  • Maintain data integrity, using Zurich’s ATS to track and analyze pipeline activity, proactively sharing updates and insights with key stakeholders, leveraging strong communication skills across multiple formats

  • Curate Talent Communities and performs outreach on a defined cadence

  • Adhere to all policies governing the employment process to ensure correct application of policies and alignment in the area of expertise

Basic Qualifications:

Talent Acquisition Sourcing Analyst

  • Bachelors Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Recruiting area


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Recruiting area


  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Recruiting area

Talent Acquisition Sourcing Specialist

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Recruiting area


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Recruiting area


  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Recruiting area


  • Experience within a staffing agency and/or corporate recruiting environment

  • Experience with internet sourcing/advertising, direct sourcing, Boolean search techniques, LinkedIn Recruiter, SEO/SEM, social media (LinkedIn Groups and other online forums) and job boards/associations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including a proficiency in clear and concise oral and written communication

  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision

  • Proven ability to take initiative, act with appropriate level of urgency and build positive and productive personal and professional relationships

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information

  • Ability to multi-task and effectively balance and prioritize multiple deliverables

  • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Possess exceptional follow-through and attention to detail

  • Able to be flexible, proactive, resourceful in hunting for information and unafraid to ask questions

  • Professional HR/TA certifications

  • Strong computer skills and experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and/or candidate relationship management (CRM) systems

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • Ability and desire to work as a team player

  • In-depth knowledge of the talent acquisition landscape in the P&C insurance industry preferred
