Underwriting Regulation Analyst


Zurich is currently seeking an Underwriting Regulations Analyst to join the Laws and Regulations team within Regulatory Services out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

In this role, she/he will analyze and develop solutions pertaining to Insurance Regulatory requirements and related processes. Responsibilities include participation in all, or portions of, in-depth analysis, prioritization, and solutions implementation management across a wide array of regulatory topics such as state legislation, regulations, bulletins, and similar matters within scope of the Underwriting Regulation program. You will also be tasked at utilizing business and technology knowledge and collaborative skills to work with business owners and technical resources to determine regulatory requirements, business information, operational and application needs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Regulatory Services area


  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Regulatory Services area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate preferred

  • Knowledge of insurance coverage on one or more lines of business

  • Knowledge of state regulatory matters

  • Knowledge of insurance processing systems

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • In-depth experience with Microsoft Excel

  • Business Objects experience

  • Experience in insurance operations

  • Excellent analytical and planning skills
