Senior Events Specialist
Are you an events expert with extensive experience and capabilities in event management leveraging event technologies to maximize delivery?
Zurich North America is currently hiring a Senior Events Specialist to join an established, high performing corporate events team. This is a hybrid role requiring a mix of remote and in-office work anchored in Zurich’s Schaumburg, IL, or NYC offices. This role will report to the Director of Events for Zurich North America.
As a Senior Events Specialist on the Customer Office & Distribution team, you’ll be key to the organization and delivery of a range of high-quality and diverse events for Zurich North America.
Managing events from concept through to implementation working with teams across the business
Establishment and maintenance of project management communications with manager, internal team, clients, finance, creative services, and event vendors
Regular reporting of event status to client and manager, evaluation of event successes and KPI’s
Utilizing event management software, apps and ticketing software to manage events and sponsorships
Managing budgets and vendors as well as payment processing; Includes managing partnerships, budgets, event calendar, event communication, on site activation and coordination of external suppliers in order to provide the highest quality of event services within a pre-defined budget.
Create complex high-level events to enhance the Zurich brand reputation
Focus on sustainability strategy and planning for all ZNA events
Requires domestica travel 25% to 30% of the time for events
Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area OR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area OR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Event Planning area AND
5 years event management experience
Experience working with senior executives
Strong planning, communication and project management skills
Budget management skills
Technical skills regarding ticketing and attendee management software. Experience of creating your own delegate management registration websites and managing all registration data.
Event design and production experience
Strong verbal and communication skills
Strong organization, presentation, and collaboration skills
Ability to work with executive staff and leadership
Ability to travel 25% to 30%
Advance Microsoft Office and Teams skills
