Sales & Distribution Internship Summer 2021
Zurich is currently looking for Sales & Distribution Intern to work out of our Dallas, TX, or Schaumburg, IL offices for Summer 2021 and who will be focused on our International Programs offering.This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in thefield ofInternationalCommercial Insurance!
Our interns will work under immediate supervision and will perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a program with an assigned mentor. As a Zurich Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain career-building experience with an industry-leading global insurance company.
The Sales & Distribution team is committed to delivering sustainable, profitable growth for Zurich North America. Through our efforts to keenly understand our customers and work strategically with our Select Brokers, we are committed to developing winning solutions for customers that set us apart from competitors and position us to be the carrier of choice.
Primary projects you will be working on:
Projects related to cross-sell, distribution of value proposition work to the field organization
Additional Sales & Distribution projects as identified related to IPZ
Development opportunities include:
Project management and data analytics skills
Distribution management and value proposition delivery
Salesforce functionality – usage, creating, presenting
Target Account – marketing facing purpose and analysis
Attend broker meetings with BDLs and underwriting teams– support in creation of agenda, performance review, pipeline discussions, etc.
Skills the intern will develop/learn over the summer:
Network with office management and other market facing personnel within the territory/region
Analyze broker data and develop trend studies along with high level observations.
Develop and communicate robust broker agendas in tandem with Business Develop Leaders.
Story telling with data
Other development opportunities:
- Gaining significant commercial insurance industry knowledge through exposure to multiple facets of the business including underwriting, claims and risk control
Currently enrolled in a college or university program and will be enrolled in the upcoming Fall Semester 2021
Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior) OR
Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school)Be legally eligible to work in the U.S. indefinitely
Microsoft Office experience
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Risk & Insurance majors, Business-related major
Demonstrates problem solving skills in a customer focused environment
Strong communication, organizational & communication skills
Excel and PowerPoint experience
Self-motivated and able to work independently
