Regional IT Procurement Consultant
Zurich North America is currently looking for an experienced Regional IT Procurement Consultant. This professional will be based out of our corporate office in Schaumburg, IL, but would consider a virtual location for a highly qualified candidate. The Procurement Consultant will lead the delivery of category management in IT ensuring the procurement strategy is aligned to the business or function strategies.
Manage of key vendor relationships for Information Technology.
Proactively works with the Information Technology Sr. staff in executing their strategy
Coordinate global, regional and local category initiatives with impacted countries
Identify opportunities for additional procurement savings through consolidation of local initiatives when possible
Accountable for the day to day delivery of scope of work within Information Technology
Identify potential Information Technology strategies and targets
Support Contracting services and regional & local Procurement to integrate operations with suppliers
• Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Procurement area
• High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Procurement area
• Procurement qualification and/or Real estate qualification
• Strong record in delivering added value to the organization through creation and execution of comprehensive procurement policies
• Strong record in managing and influencing stakeholders
• Leadership and commercial experience gained through working in a global procurement organization
• In-depth knowledge and experience of procurement business process outsourcing
• Ability to drive and secure senior stakeholder commitment for compliance
