Description

Zurich North America is looking for an experienced Product Designer - Accident & Health to join our growing A&H Lines of Business based in our award winning North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The Product Designer - Accident & Health is responsible for the following:

  • Design, develop, draft and deliver product and policy language for A&H lines of business

  • Proactively partner with the A&H business leaders and underwriters, Actuaries, Laws & Regulations and Governance to maintain and improve A&H product health, and implement innovative new products

  • Support forms filings, regulatory requests and rate manual filings for A&H lines of business

  • Collaborate and support the Product Development department with the prioritization of projects, drafting/retiring/refreshing forms, and responding to filing objections

  • Research primary data sources, select relevant information, analyze key A&H market and regulatory themes and trends and make recommendations to enhance product development outcomes.

  • Engage with the A&H Business to address questions and concerns on changing laws and regulations

  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and solution architect in A&H product areas.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Product Development areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Product Development areaAND

  • Commercial insurance experience in three or more major lines of business

  • Underwriting and/or Claims experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate

  • CPCU or CEBS

  • International Programs/Proposition development experience

  • Ability to develop collaborative relationships

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong project management and time management skills

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Change management skills / adaptability to change

  • Experience with State Filing departments
