Organizational Innovation Consultant II
Zurich is currently looking for an Organizational Innovation Consultant for our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL., Chicago, IL., or New York, NY.
As a member of Zurich's North America Commercial Insurance Operations team this role will focus on identifying and leading innovative solutions. You will enjoy the opportunity to participate in the planning, execution, and measurement of business unit/strategic support unit and/or Global strategic initiatives including driving customer and underwriter experience with digital solutions and insights for business needs. This role will take a holistic approach to identifying business improvement opportunities, develops solutions, manages initiatives, and identifies the resources and various disciplines needed to execute change.
Provides methodologies and tools to sponsors and team members to support initiatives and institutionalize a culture that embraces change. Designs, facilitates and/or participates in cross-functional projects that promote organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability. Creates timelines, agendas, goals and metrics/measurements. Ensures appropriate change management practices are effectively utilized throughout the lifecycle to improve execution and delivery of results.
Organizational Innovation Consultant is responsible for:
Works with business unit/strategic support unit and/or Global Senior Leadership in the identification of business improvement opportunities, and acts as a catalyst to accelerate and drive the execution of solutions that integrate enterprise and business unit/strategic support unit strategic direction.
Participates in the development, implementation, and institutionalization of best practices around execution and change management.
Facilitates the strategic and/or tactical business planning process, and provides methodologies and tools to sponsors & teams to drive initiatives to intended results
Facilitates team and provides methodologies and tools to drive initiatives to intended results, institutionalize the process and develop a culture that embraces change
Ensures specific metrics and measures incorporated into solutions reflect the business strategy, track progress, capture the impact of changes and identify further opportunities for improvement.
Leverages skills and resources from within functional disciplines and the Change Network
Participates the development of communication and implementation procedures for corporate initiatives, partnering with HRBPs on any people related implications.
Partners with Business Engineering to leverage enterprise processes and solutions to support business unit/strategic support unit specific solutions.
Demonstrate an ability to create a 'win/win' solutions through leadership, influence, facilitation and teamwork.
In the capacity of 'portfolio manager', demonstrates an awareness of all BU/SSU initiatives, understands where initiatives overlap and intersect, and provides a portfolio view of all change associated with the initiatives such that effective prioritization can occur at the BU/SSU level. Acts as a touch point for the enterprise project prioritization process.
Business Travel, as required
Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims or Consulting or Risk Engineering or Underwriting area within the Insurance industryOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims or Consulting or Risk Engineering or Underwriting area within the Insurance industryAND
Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management
Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools
Project management experience
In-depth knowledge of insurance industry with subject matter expertise in at least one functional insurance discipline; such as, Underwriting, Claims, Risk Engineering
Project Management Certification (PMP)
Six Sigma Belt Certification
Superior communication skills
Impeccable organizational skills
Ability to prioritize projects in importance
