National Sales and Service Manager, Crop
Zurich North America is currently looking for a National Sales and Service Manager to provide strategic leadership for our RCIS Crop division. This leader will have a high-level focus on profitable growth, retention and our core deliverables to deliver our full value proposition. The National Sales and Service Manager will have responsibility for the Field Sales and Service team and oversee the end to end service process for existing agent/customers Nationally. This leader will develop and utilize key Crop analytics to drive performance, strategy, and decision making; and monitor agency performance as it relates to financial performance, including but not limited to growth, retention and pipeline management.
RCIS provides insurance and superior services through leading agents to protect America’s farmers and ranchers. It’s been an innovator in crop insurance since the crop insurance business was privatized by the federal government in 1980. Today it’s one of the nation’s largest crop insurance providers, offering risk management protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 4,000 professionally trained and licensed agents.
Create and implement Zurich Crop agency strategy within the sales and service group and effectively align resources where appropriate
Responsible for all agency management related activities within the Crop business segment
Develop robust agency pipeline in alignment with current segmentation strategy
Build and manage relationships with both external and internal stakeholders in order to identify opportunities for service improvement
Build a sales-minded culture within the team
Meet/exceed retention and new business goals per financial plan
Ensure the optimal deployment of resources to execute financial plan
Execute distribution strategy Nationally
10 or more years of experience in the Business Development and Distribution area
Commercial insurance industry experience
5 or more years leadership and management roles
Strong Agribusiness background
Strong knowledge of Crop Insurance
In depth knowledge of the market participants, practices and products
Ability to effectively align resources with business opportunity and develop staff
Sales and Marketing knowledge and expertise
Demonstrated knowledge, skill, and expertise in order to achieve retention and new business goals.
Demonstrated use of analytics to drive performance, strategy, and decision making
