ZurichServices LLC (a division of Zurich North America) is currently hiring a Head ofNetwork Security Transformation.Thisperson can work in one of three locations – Schaumburg North America HQ;Caledonia, MI; OR Oklahoma City, OK .

Serve asthe program manager on a wide range of global Network Security TransformationProjects within the Information Security space.Supportthe delivery of solutions that protect information against unauthorizeddisclosure, modification or loss. Responsibilities include driving theexecution of security initiatives by deploying, configuring and supportingsecurity technologies, identifying security requirements and ensuring that theyare implemented, and providing assurance that implemented security controls areoperating as designed.

The Head ofNetwork Security Transformation is responsible for the transformation andenablement of business unit adoption of the Palo Alto Networks Next GenerationSecurity Platform.The role is one of anaccomplished leader, bridging the divide between business and non-technicalaudiences and translating their needs into technical solutions. This positionis responsible for managing projects of high visibility and strategicimportance or critical nature to Zurich Global Information Security and will beaccountable for the successful implementation of those projects. This positionis also responsible to train, develop, and direct the activities of severalEngineers & Project Managers, each managing several different projects oftheir own.

The NetworkSecurity domain includes all aspects of solutions architecture and softwaredevelopment & integration with leading Enterprise Firewalls, IntrusionDetection/Prevention Technology, Web Proxies, Remote Access Gateways, SecureDevice Access Control, Mail Transport Authorities, Malware Sandboxes, ThreatIntelligence processes, and Cloud Security Broker technologies. The position isresponsible for program/project delivery, enhancing the operations of existingplatforms, as well as coordinating and managing scope, estimations and deliveryof multiple mid to large-scale projects to achieve desired organization goalsand benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Developcomprehensive project plans and drive the execution of these plans to ensureproject success.

  • Assistin the rapid execution of information security initiatives by maintaining anappropriate level of prioritization, focus and persistence in an environment ofsignificant change and growth.

  • Actas a project assurance representative on many projects simultaneously. Ensurethat project objectives are delivered on time and meet stakeholder expectationsfor quality.

  • Provideconsistent follow through with the Business Manager and IT Project manager onissues/concerns to ensure appropriate visibility and escalation where needed.

  • Mustbe able to manage project task execution independently and get all associatedteam members to deliver their tasks on time, both with and without directauthority.

  • Providesecurity subject matter expertise, evaluating proposals and recommendingavailable solutions.

  • Assessthe security posture of applications and infrastructure using a variety ofassessment tools and methodologies.

  • Overseesa group of staff; Plans and controls day to day project tasks and budgets.

  • Leadsa team of specialists who perform complex tasks.

  • Analyzeinternal security and business needs and desired results and develop softwaresolutions with responsibility for the delivery of software applications, withlimited or no supervision.

  • Serveas an expert and knowledge source for the escalation of complex applicationdesign and development issues.

BasicQualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 8 or more years of experience in InformationTechnology OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experiencein Information Technology AND

  • IT Strategy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Afull understanding of information security functions (confidentiality,integrity, availability, authentication, and authorization)

  • Relevantexperience implementing or supporting a diverse portfolio of modern SecurityTechnologies such as Next Generation Firewall Platforms, IntrusionDetection/Prevention, Host based security tools, other Security Gateways, andIdentity & Access Management Platforms, Middleware, & Processes

  • CISSP,CISM, CISA strongly desired

  • Vendortechnology certifications preferred, e.g. Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, Microsoft,etc.

  • Knowledgeand experience in project governance, project reporting, risk management andmatrixed people management

  • Highlyorganized and thorough, with an ability to facilitate communication andscheduling among different levels of staff

  • Ableto prioritize effectively according to department needs and ability to organizea large number of changing variables

  • Solidunderstanding of the software development lifecycle process

  • Familiaritywith Agile/Scrum development methodologies

  • Shouldhave comprehensive knowledge of concepts of Incident, Change & ProblemManagement and experience of working on ticketing tools (e.g., Remedy,ServiceNow etc.)

  • Experiencein troubleshooting and documenting issues, gaps, and resolutions

  • Stronganalytical and customer service skills

  • Excellentverbal and written communication skills

  • Strongpresentation skills

  • Minimum3 years of Palo Alto Networks experience

  • Experienceis required in the following areas:NextGeneration Firewalls

  • Knowledgeabout the business processes to a level that is required to define solutionsfor the same across various Network Security and Network Operations disciplines

  • Experiencein installing and configuring Palo Alto Networks Foundational platforms &frameworks including Panorama & Wildfire

  • Knowledgeof Networking prerequisites: DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management, Routing,Switching, LAN, WAN, and associated Data Center processes

  • Goodknowledge with federated identity and web services security concepts such asSAML, Liberty ID-FF and ID-WSF, WS-Federation and WS-Security
