Zurich is looking for a Finance Operations Analyst to join the Finance Operations team here in Schaumburg. In this highly visible position you will use your in-depth knowledge of Property & Casualty Insurance to work with the customers, brokers, underwriters and claims adjusters of our Tier One accounts to monitor, review and verify loss sensitive billing statements and premium audits and communicate the results/expectations to customers and brokers.

The programs for these accounts may include Programs may include retro, deductibles, self-insured retention (SIR), loss reimbursement, escrow, collateral/letter of credit and participating dividends. The Finance Operations Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Auditing the reconciliation of financial data, ensuring resolution for out of balance conditions >

  • Acting as an account manager in the analysis of loss data, interpretation and explanation of cash flow and loss sensitive billing methods and concepts >

  • Responding to internal and external client inquiries by providing technical advice in a professional, timely and accurate manner in complex situations >

  • Proactively analyzing performance of key performance indicators and communicate status and issues to management >

  • Recommending and implementing continuous improvements based on customer and broker needs >

  • Leading and collaborating on moderately complex ad hoc projects

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Finance areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Finance area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of Property Casualty insurance concepts and coverage's including policy issuance, premium audits, accounting systems and premium processing

  • Account reconciliation skills

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong customer service skills and AR

  • Strong Excel and SAP skills

  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
