Zurich is currently searching for a Distribution Management Lead to work within our Enterprise Integration & Data Management unit out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

She/he will be responsible for a portfolio of applications which supports Zurich’s Distribution Management and will be responsible for the Base support, Enhancement, and Project workfor this portfolio. This role will entail close collaboration with the Distribution and Marketing group which will drive the majority of the enhancement and project work. Since the Distribution Management applications are critical to the processing of Zurich’s policies and claims transactions, this role will need to collaborate across the various Business Change & Information Technology (BC&IT) Applications areas.

Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the financial budgets for the base support, enhancements, and project work. She/he will also need to manage a large number of contingent workers which support the development efforts within this portfolio.

As a member of the senior leadership team within the Customer Distribution and Underwriting Services group, you will be expected to be highly self-sufficient, motivated, and always looking for opportunities to continually improve the performance of the Distribution of the portfolio.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Communications or Project Management areaAND

  • Experience in strategic and operational consulting or business systems

  • Integration Insurance application system design/analysis experience

  • Experience in leading teams using/creating use cases, Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques, requirements modeling and associated tools, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), functional and systems requirements, requirements traceability documents, and testing scenarios and execution

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to identify and consider business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment

  • In-depth knowledge of financial services industry including detailed knowledge of insurance business processes and processing

  • Strong problem solving skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • 'Hands-On' management experience at multiple levels within an financial services/insurance organization

  • CPCU

  • Project Management Institute Project Management Professional Certification

  • Influential skills

  • Advance Microsoft Office skills

  • Consulting experience

  • Experience in organizational design

  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)
