Zurich North America is looking for a Data Visualization Analyst to join our Data & Analytics Team based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

In the Data Visualization Analyst role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering multiple interactive dashboards as well as building, refreshing, maintaining and enhancing the complex data sets that provide essential data insights to internal staff, senior leadership, and Zurich North America’s customers. Zurich North America’s Data & Analytics Team encompass data science, analytics, dashboards, and data visualizations as well as data as a business asset.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and profile complex data, create reusable data assets

  • Produce insightful visualizations for all levels of the organization including Executive / C-Suite Leadership

  • Create a finished product without the use of formal business requirements

  • Deliver ad-hoc business requests to stakeholders with an appropriate sense of urgency

  • Support business data needs within appropriate compliance and governance guidelines

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Data Management areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Data Management areaAND

  • Experience with data interrogation/analysis techniques

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal design training strongly preferred

  • SQL coding experience strongly preferred

  • Expertise with creating, designing, and developing interactive dashboards and visualizations

  • Experience and ability to deliver without formal business requirements

  • Ability to work quickly and produce multiple iterations and prototypes on an ad-hoc basis

  • Ability to understand the business needs, drivers and the delivered results

  • Good problem solving, decision making and analytical skills

  • Ability to share work examples / professional portfolios (i.e. GitHub)

  • Commercial insurance carrier experience

  • Ability to collaborate as well as work independently

  • Excellent written and verbal communication
