Zurich North America is currently looking for experienced Corporate Recruiters to join our dynamic team. The roles will be based at our headquarters location in Schaumburg, Illinois. In this exciting opportunity you will leverage your recruiting knowledge, analytical mindset and business acumen to represent the Zurich brand. You will partner closely with hiring managers and business partners to execute strategies that support the achievement of recruiting top talent across our organization. Areas of focus may include, but are not not limited to underwriting, finance, operations and HR.

These are critical positions and require a high level of consultative and influencing skills and the ability to build relationships across the organization. We are looking for a team player that is innovative, resourceful and passionate about connecting great talent with the right opportunity.

Our Corporate Recruiters are responsible for:

  • Performing full-cycle Corporate recruiting and talent assessment

  • Developing and executing strategies with internal and external sources to create a diverse pipeline of high-quality talent

  • Communicating our Zurich value proposition, strategy and culture to engage passive talent in our job postings, through social media, and during interviews

  • Interview candidates and provide a recommended slate to hiring managers

  • Partner with TA support to ensure interviews occur in a timely manner and follow-up as appropriate to support a prompt debriefing process

  • Manage offer process from end-to-end with internal stakeholders including negotiations and closing

  • Deliver a world-class candidate experience

  • Building strong partnerships and drive the recruitment process through regular and effective communication with hiring managers, HR business partners and candidates

  • Act as a consultant to our business leaders around our internal process, the external talent market and recruitment and interviewing best practices.

The roles will be filled at the Talent Acquisition Specialist or Talent Acquisition Consultant level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Talent Acquisition Specialist Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of experience in the recruiting areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the recruiting area

  • ORZurich approved Apprenticeship program including an associate degree and 5 or more years of experience in the recruiting areaAND

  • Experience within a corporate recruiting environment or staffing agency

  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems

  • Experience with internet sourcing, direct sourcing, employee referral campaigns, job fairs and outplacement firms

Talent Acquisition Consultant Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 or more years of experience in the recruiting or human resources management areaOR

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the recruiting or human resources management areaOR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an associate’s degree and 8 or more years of experience in the recruiting or human resources management areaAND

  • Experience within a corporate recruiting environment or staffing agency

  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems

  • Experience with internet sourcing, direct sourcing, employee referral campaigns, job fairs and outplacement firms

  • Research and candidate development experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience recruiting sourcing, screening, interviewing, and assessing talent for corporate, professional level and niche positions

  • Experience using recruiting technologies and applicant tracking tools (Taleo applicant tracking system, LinkedIn, and other sourcing and CRM tools)

  • Advanced sourcing strategies and business acumen

  • Experience establishing & maintaining relationships at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to handle multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy

  • Ability to quickly assess candidate skills/qualifications and attributes and make placements/recommendations as appropriate

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and communication, influencing, presentation and sales skills

  • Superb time management, follow-through and organizational skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills

  • PHR or SPHR
