Zurich North America is seeking an experienced people manager with a proven record of delivering predictable, reliable and cost-effective services to join the IT Operations group as the Collaboration Services Lead to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

She/he will be accountable for leading a team that develops, deploys and maintains solutions across various products and services such as SharePoint, Exchange, Skype, Teams and web analytics for both Zurich NA and in collaboration with Zurich globally. You will also be responsible for managing multiple outsourcing and product vendor relationships. The lead should have experience identifying business needs, researching existing and innovative technology solutions, and developing business cases to demonstrate a solution’s viability.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Proven expertise in overseeing and driving adoption of enterprise wide solutions for Exchange, Skype for Business, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online (Office 365) and on-premises SharePoint environments

  • Research emerging and innovative solutions and interface with the business to identify opportunities to expand services

  • Empower a team of 8 resources consisting of SMEs, and analysts to solve complex technical and business problems, and to meet their professional development goals

  • Demonstrate experience leading migrations to and adoption of Office 365 solutions

  • Implement methodologies, protocols, and standards for team to use in daily practice

  • Engage key stakeholders from both North America and Global IT and business leadership

  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal, business relation and team building skills

  • Deliver multiple projects on time and manage total cost of ownership

  • Partner with legal and procurement to review, negotiate and manage supplier contracts

High Level Influencer Internally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on influencing or negotiating with a broad range of internal clients, specifically executives and/or senior management. Expectation of the need to employ specialized techniques and substantial experience. Relationships typically involve persuading or countering opposition.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • People management experience

  • Operational service experience preferred

  • Managing multiple vendors in an outsourced environment

  • Financial and budgeting skills preferred

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work in an on-call environment

  • Managing technical resources and directing their activities

  • Ability to report on operational KPI’s to the business

  • Insurance-related experience desired but not required
