Zurich is currently looking for a Business Systems Analyst to work within our Data Management unit of Information Technology Services out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.
In this role, the Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for:
Documenting data transformation requirements for the data integration projects and release workstreams
Preparing detailed worked example for the data scenarios and calculations modules
Supporting user acceptance testing by addressing data related queries raised by the UAT users
Working closely with the data integration developers to address data quality and data transformation related observations
Generating adhoc data reports for the business users to address data related questions from business users
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or Computer Science or Engineering and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaAND
Process re-engineering; LEAN/Six Sigma experience
Experience with process modeling tools
Insurance application system design/analysis experience
Experience with use case development
Experience with Rapid Application Development (RAD) tools/techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong technical acumen and data analysis skills
Exposure and understanding of data warehousing applications
Technical documentationexperience
Data related problem-solving experience
Ability to work with limited guidance on the large-scale projects
SQL writing experience for data analysis and data review
Advanced Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) skills
Experience in an analytical role on complex enterprise projects
Knowledge of financial services industry
Knowledge of insurance business processes and processing is a plus
Strong analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
