Zurich is currently looking to hire an Application Support Analyst II to work out of our North American headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois.

The Application Support Analyst is involved with first level support for business partners, customers, and users of applications both internally and externally. The Analyst I will serve as a liaison between IT and the user in the Underwriting Support and Service unit, utilizing customer service skills that will be essential to handling telephone and email inquiries. Under general supervision, the Analyst provides support services to internal customers related to an application/set of applications covering a range of responsibilities focusing on repetitive activities, following instructions and incident resolution, and will be eligible to grow through project driven work as well as market and product expertise that needs to be built up to meet the number and variety of customer portfolios.

Client Internally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the line manager or employee level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver on our promise.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performs standardized operational tasks to ensure that the service levels and performance are met. Takes action where necessary to address or escalate performance or operational issues.

  • Reports service performance to line management and provides feedback on execution of standardized operational tasks to business.

  • Complies with IT service management governance, standards and polices.

  • Provides input for service level performance reports to the business generating improvement actions where necessary.

  • Supports the end-user satisfaction process and service improvement programs.

  • Manages incident escalations and complaints, working with the Business Unit to resolve individual service issues.

  • Supports business in disaster recovery testing.

  • Mandatory Overtime, as required

  • Regular Predictable Attendance

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Application Support area


  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Application Support area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance Industry Experience

  • Knowledge of rating and issuance systems

  • Customer service experience

  • Good analytical and problem solving skills

  • Transactional support experience including Underwriting Desktop support, eFile, and work-flow management highly desired
