Zurich North America is hiring an Underwriting Account Service Analyst to join our National Accounts Surety team! We are open to hiring talent in any of the U.S. Zurich office locations.

As an Underwriting Account Service Analyst, you will support Underwriters working on multiple lines of business with varying complexity.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Performs end to end bond administration for moderate to complex business including but not limited to:

  • New Bond Entry and Rate/Quote requests

  • Adjustments and all other service requests

  • Accountable for advanced account and bond servicing for moderate to complex business including Contract and/or Commercial Accounts.

  • Leverages expertise of systems, processes, and business needs to suggest and contribute to process enhancements to solve business challenges.

  • Works under moderate supervision responding to complex agent/broker servicing requests to ensure delivery of excellent service Drives broker/ agent interactions and onsite calls related to account servicing matters with a planned and well-prepared purpose. Builds strong working relationships outside the team with broker counterparts.

  • Performs Quality Checks (peer review) including data input consistency and file documentation; Develops new team members and provides support and coaching to peers, based on quality results. Provides coaching and problem solving for complex transactions / issues while educating peers on the context behind the solution

  • Supports special projects as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area.

OR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associates Degree and 2 or mor years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area.

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Insurance, Underwriting, Insurance, Underwriting, Finance, Accounting or Banking area.

AND

  • Knowledge of the Surety industry.

  • Knowledge of bond administration systems.

  • Experience servicing Surety accounts.

  • Experience with data collection and analysis

  • Experience with processing, rating and policy management systems used in the insurance industry.

  • Customer service experience

  • Problem solving experience

  • Experience servicing product portfolios for multiple lines of business for insurance.

  • Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of underwriting philosophy and techniques
