Zurich is currently looking for a Training Senior Specialist for our Crop Claims division. This position may work out of one of the following North American offices: 100% Virtual

Delivers business specific technical training or some basic professional skills training to individual contributors and front-line managers. Possesses working knowledge in the subject area represented. Conducts both classroom and virtual sessions using web conferencing tools such as teleconferencing or Webex. Evaluates training courses and materials, makes recommendations to the Solutions Center Manager or Program Manager to continuously improve or enhance learning solutions, upload case studies/examples to training system for technical systems training.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for planning and conducting basic to intermediate classroom or virtual training courses

  • Provides input or feedback for course improvement

  • Answers trainee questions during the training to enhance the learning experience

  • Prepares summary assessments for management identifying learning trends

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Formal Instruction/Teaching or Learning and Development area or in the specific subject matter or functional area assigned

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Formal Instruction/Teaching or Learning and Development area or in the specific subject matter or functional area assigned

OR

  • Zurich approved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Formal Instruction/Teaching or Learning and Development area or in the specific subject matter or functional area

AND

  • Travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance industry or financial services experience

  • Effective communication and influence skills

  • Project management and organization skills

  • Experience in training design, development and implementation
