Zurich is seekinga Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineering Consultant to servicecustomers from San Jose, CA to SouthernOregon. The ideal location for this role is to work out of the Sacramento area.This is a field role with approximately 25% overnight travel. This is a workfrom home role and includes a company car.

As a Machinery Breakdown Risk Engineering Consultant youare responsible for:

Under limited management and technical direction, providesjurisdictional inspections and machinery breakdown risk assessment services forcustomers and business partners. Provides intermediate machinerybreakdown consultative services to customers, including identifying exposureswith significant loss potential, investigation of cause/effect of major lossesand hazard/machinery breakdown management programs. Provides basic leveltraining for customers, service design and coordination, marketing, and lossinvestigations.

Client Externally Focused - The job’s core deliverables relyon delivering service to external clients and/or customers. Typically involvesbuilding relationships and promoting the company.

Final candidates will also be subject to a MotorVehicle record background check, because this position includes a company car.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 3 or more years of experience within Machinery Breakdown/Risk Engineering area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience within Machinery Breakdown/Risk Engineering area

AND

  • Experience with Microsoft Office

  • Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expert knowledge within machinery industry segment

  • National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors Commission Card or qualified to sit for the exam

  • Navy Nuclear School

  • Insurance industry experience
