IT Business Systems Analyst Internship (Summer 2023)
Zurich is currently looking for anIT Business Systems AnalystIntern to support our IT Enterprise Integration & Data Management team for the Summer of 2023 out of our Schaumburg, IL, or Owings Mills, MD offices.
North America Information Technology (IT), combines insurance knowledge with technology expertise to shape technology solutions. IT drives the execution of our strategic roadmaps, delivers new solutions, and ensures our information security while maintaining our technology platforms. We do this while creating a world-class work environment.
As an IT BSA Intern, you will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor.
The primary project you will work on:
Work on Guidewire Policy Center projects
ZNA communications with the IT team
You will learn:
Working in Agile methodology
Enhance Meeting facilitation and preparation skills
Calendar, Document and Time management, and self-direction in a fast-paced environment
Working collaboratively across IT functions in North America
Communication and expectation setting and an understanding of the various roles and responsibilities of an IT organization
Other development opportunities:
Work on large-size IT projects to understand dependencies between IT, business, technical underwriting, and actuaries
JIRA, Sharepoint, iTrac, Guidewire PolicyCenter, Guidewire Underwriting Management, Zspire, and potentially Salesforce
Communication skills in a business environment
Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2023
Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
Intermediate Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solvingng skills in customer focused environment
Self-motivated and able to work independently as needed
