The Direct Markets Department is currently hiring an Underwriting Account Service Associate to join the team! You will support our experienced Underwriters in a team-based environment.

This position is a hybrid of remote work and in office activity designed to meet the need of the selected candidate and Zurich North America.

The candidate selected for this opportunity should be able to report into one of the following North American office: Overland Park, Kansas.

About the Direct Markets Team:

Group Captives Underwriters have multi-line expertise in a broad range of industry segments, to include construction, manufacturing, and transportation.

The Direct Markets team is poised to continue a solid track record of success! They are a dynamic and unique part of the Zurich organization, and this role would allow the right candidate to take their insurance experience to new levels.

Our Direct Markets Underwriting Account Service Associates:

  • Utilize insurance experience to help support the performance of Zurich Direct Markets

  • Seek to continually improve effectiveness and drive high quality solutions

  • Are highly organized, professional, and adaptable

  • Provide superior levels of service and a high level of communication to ensure the customer's needs are met and production goals are achieved

  • Work independently in a fast-paced team atmosphere!

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance areaOR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including Associate Degree and no prior experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management or Insurance areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 2 or more years of experience in the Administrative, Customer Service, Financial Services, Risk Management, or Insurance areaAND

  • Knowledge of data collection and analysis

  • Microsoft Office experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent customer service orientation

  • Attention to detail and accuracy skills (Excel skills are highly desired)

  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skill in a high-volume, production environment

  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Insurance industry experience
