Regulatory Services Analyst
Zurich is currently looking for a Regulatory Services Analyst to work within our Global Life unit out of our North American headquarters in Overland Park, KS.
As a key member of the Regulatory Services team, you will be responsible for the management of commercial line filings to state insurance departments in accordance with statutory and regulatory requirements and will also be tasked with managing filing throughout the lifecycle process, including updates to databases serving as repositories for regulatory, filing, and product information.
Key focus areas will include:
- Working knowledge of insurance coverage and pricing, policy construction, processing and policy issuance
Life insurance product filing experience.
Responsible for OFAC/PEP Searches
Detailed, functional knowledge of the state filing function including SERFF entry and navigation.
Ability to interpret and apply filing laws and regulations
Basic understanding of policy issuance systems and/or web authoring tools (i.e. Guidewire)
Intermediate MS Word and Excel software skills; familiarity with business objects beneficial
Strong organizational skills with ability to set priorities and manage multiple concurrent workflows
Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in insurance, state filing regulatory operations or underwriting service s area.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years experience in insurance, state filing regulatory operations or underw riting services area.
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in insurance, state filing regulatory operations or underwriting services area.
Knowledge of insurance coverage, operations and ratemaking and the regulatory framework for insurance products and filings.
Comprehensive knowledge of state filing laws and regulations applicable to insurance products.
Comprehensive experience interpreting and applying filing laws and regulations to assure compliant transmissions to state regulators.
Intermediate MS Word and Excel skills.
Strong prioritization and organization skills; including multi-tasking workflows.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Project management skills.
Knowledge of policy insurance systems and/or web authorizing tools.
