Asset Management Specialist (IT) II
Zurich is currently hiring for an Asset Management Specialist (IT) within Corporate Services division of Business Change and IT to work out of our Schaumburg, IL or Overland Park, KS office.
This person will manage an inventory of technology-related assets and manage and administer contractual agreements to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, providing an in-depth insight into trends to contribute to continuous improvement of asset management.
Other responsibilities may include taking the lead role and/or assisting in compliance process improvement design, delivering high quality, technical solutions; investigating, recommending and implementing leading edge technical solutions when they meet customer needs; creating status and management reports, such as exceptions or on-demand materials; providing guidance and support for team members; coaching and providing technical advice and counsel within and outside operating unit; preparing draft manuals based on the accepted changes to IT policies and procedures to ensure they are up-to-date and reflect the new policies, and that internal partners and external suppliers are in line with SLAs (service level agreements), risk and compliance; acting as technical expert in a specific process or product area; conducting process reviews and initiating change in order to contribute to continuous improvement of services to internal customers.

Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or Management
6 or more years of experience in IT Asset ManagementAND
Experience in contract analysis and negotiation
Experience with conflict resolution and project management
Experience managing inventory of technology assets: hardware, software, application systems, databases, licenses and products
Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM) from International Association of IT AM
Insurance industry experience
Advanced knowledge of MS Office
Strong knowledge of procurement governance, process and policies
In-depth advisory and consultative skills
Project Management Professional (PMP)
Ability to manage an inventory of technology-related assets (including hardware, software, application systems, databases, licenses and products)
Knowledge to utilize data analysis tools to sort through and analyze enterprise data in order to identify factors influencing business performance and to gain greater insight into trends within a business, industry and customer base
The ability to apply advanced software licensing concepts to ensure license compliance
Advanced research, development and reporting skills
Experience with software management tool Flexera
