Zurich North America is currently looking for an Actuarial Support Analyst for our Actuarial Pricing Team. Ideally, this role will be based out of Zurich’s North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois. Alternatively, this role can be based out of any Zurich North America office location.
The Actuarial Support Analyst is responsible for creating rate filings to support all Zurich companies and lines of business while working with Actuarial colleagues and colleagues in other departments to determine appropriate filing components and to assess company needs.
The Actuarial Support Analyst is also responsible for the following:
Supporting the development of new and revised rates and rating plans
Preparing rate filings for submission to state Departments of Insurance
Compiling supporting data and measuring filing impacts
Providing consultation to actuaries and underwriters on filing requests
Responding to Department of Insurance inquiries
Performing research and gathering data
Communicating filing details as necessary and ensuring proper implementation of filing components
Assisting in development and support of proprietary rates for new products
Working with Actuarial colleagues to become familiar with company operations, business objectives and actuarial methodologies
Supporting analysis of loss experience, loss trends and expenses
Supporting Technical Underwriting on pricing initiatives
Reviewing and responding to regulatory and law changes
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science and 3 or more years of experience in the Actuarial areaAND
Knowledge of insurance industry products and operations
Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial insurance experience
Ability to apply quantitative concepts
Ability to communicate analysis results
Strong communication verbal and written communication
