Senior Market Facing Underwriter- National Accounts E&O/Cyber Liability
Zurich Insurance is looking for a Senior National Accounts Underwriter for our New York office. The ideal candidate will work in a team setting to underwrite Technology, Miscellaneous, and Manufacturing E&O and Cyber Liability. This is a great opportunity to join our growing Management Solutions team.
Generating, underwriting, and analyzing E&O and Cyber Liability opportunities.
Managing own portfolio of accounts.
Working within broad limits and authorities on highly complex assignments.
Market facing activities, such as developing and maintaining broker relationships and developing a pipeline.
Collaborating and cross selling with other lines of businesses to develop a One Zurich approach and to manage exposure aggregation.
Participating in the development and implementation of cyber strategies and initiatives.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
Knowledge of Professional Liability Lines and the legal and regulatory guidelines
Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
Experience with Microsoft Office
In-depth knowledge of E&O, Cyber Liability line/s of business and legal and regulatory guidelines
Superior skills in relationship building, active listening, needs analysis, and win-win negotiating.
Demonstrates strong presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation.
Possess solid time management skills and a working knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong negotiation skills.
Ability to effectively assess risk.
Ability to multi-task.
Must be able to function effectively in team environment.
