Zurich is currently searching for an Operations Performance Lead to work for our North American Commercial Insurance operations unit out our New York City, NY World Trade Center location or from our Zurich North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL.

She/he will direct the planning, execution, and measurement of business units, function and/or Global strategic and transformational initiatives, while engaging directly with the senior leadership team, and will be accountable for shaping and driving transformational initiatives for the Business Unit as well as enterprise wide initiatives.

Other responsibilities will include leading, designing, and/or facilitating cross-functional projects that promote organizational effectiveness, efficiency, and profitability, providing, methodologies and tools to sponsors and team members to support initiatives and institutionalize a culture that embraces innovation, and for taking a holistic approach to identifying business improvement opportunities, developing solutions, managing initiatives and identifying the resources. She/he he will also be tasked for ensuring specific metrics and measurements are incorporated into solutions reflecting the business strategy, tracking progress, capturing the impact of changes, and identifying further opportunities for improvement to ensure successful implementations.

Client Internally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on delivering service to internal clients, usually at the line manager or employee level. May involve sharing subject matter expertise to others in the organization or supporting others in their efforts to deliver on our promise.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaOR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaOR

  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Information Technology areaAND

  • Experience leading workstreams

  • Knowledge of process engineering

  • Experience with core process redesign, continuous improvement methodologies

  • Process modeling tools

  • Business Systems Integration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP)

  • LEAN/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt Certification

  • Experience in a key analytical role on large and complex enterprise projects

  • Consulting experience

  • Knowledge of insurance industry business processes and processing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with change management tools/methodologies

  • Microsoft Office experience
