Director of loT
Zurich Resilience Solutions (ZRS) is seeking a Director of IoT. In this role you willreinforce existing IoT initiatives and build out and grow new propositions in support of ZRS RE Services, ZRS Strategy and Sales and Distribution teams. You will also focus on providing field and customer education, delivering technical insights as they relate to IoT, and service delivery for our current ZRS IoT offerings. The candidate will also work to create IoT and data aggregation capabilities to help address our customers core loss exposures. You will also develop and refine IoT service offerings for ZRS, customers, and business partners.
In this role you will consult, in partnership with ZRS Group counterparts, the Head of Risk Engineering Services, Strategy, Sales & Distribution, and various business partners to develop the vision, strategy, and implementation of innovative IoT service offerings.
This is a work from home role, ideally positioned withinthe state of Illinois, but will consider other locations in the United States. Expected travel of 10-15%.
Launch and leads innovation IoT and global transformation projects by setting strategy and framework for ZRS IoT service initiatives
Research, review and analyze industry IoT business models to support ZRS management in developing and improving IoT processes, systems, capabilities, and services.
Develop IoT revenue generating customer products and services
Enhance IoT risk prediction and risk prevention capabilities for customers
Develop and coordinate data aggregation and analysis of IoT product and service effectiveness
Develop business cases for defined IoT projects and direct the planning and execution of selected ZRS IoT projects by leading/facilitating cross functional projects with minimal supervision
Coordinate and map enterprise IoT strategy to solution services which satisfy business demand & priorities.
Provide specialist advice to address specific technical queries from both internal business partners and external customers in line with Zurich´s policies and processes and regulatory requirements
Identify, and pursue with authorization, additional business opportunities and improvements
Contribute to the development and implementation of new vendor services in close collaboration with Head of Services and ZRS field staff
Assist vendor management team and business partners with sourcing and vetting of potential vendors, partners, and programs
Engage stakeholders to successfully deliver projects on-time and on-budget
Develop and monitor metrics to evaluate IoT program effectiveness leveraging process, progress and outcomes objectives
BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering, science, math, industrial design, or related field. MS or MBA preferred.
3-5+ years of experience as a product manager or related occupation. The 3-5+ years of experience must involve conducting strategic business and financial analysis, working cross-functionally with engineering, design, and project management counterparts to deliver digital products or services.
Distributed Devices / Internet of Things experience.
Demonstrated expertise within industrial distribution or inventory management a plus.
A track record of successfully managing products through entire life cycle – from inception to launch.
A track record of delivering business results.

History of working successfully in a team environment
High degree of proficiency in using computer and related software or systems
