Zurich is currently looking for an Underwriting Intern to work out of our New York, NY Office.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in Cyber Underwriting! This intern will learn the foundations of Underwriting and manage a variety of projects throughout the summer. The Underwriting Intern will work under immediate supervision and will perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a program with an assigned mentor. As a Zurich Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain career-building experience with an industry-leading global insurance company.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program and will be enrolled in the upcoming Fall Semester

  • Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Administrative area OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and no prior experience required in the Administrative area OR

  • Zurich approved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree and No prior experience required in the Administrative area

  • Minimum cumulative GPA average of 3.0 (current GPA reported by your school)

  • Be legally eligible to work in the U.S. Indefinitely

  • Microsoft Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Economics or related major

  • Demonstrates problem solving skills in a customer focused environment

  • Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Intermediate Excel and PowerPoint experience

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
