Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Senior Claims Professional to join our Specialty Team in handling the Travel, Accident and Sickness related claims. What you will do:
Handle and investigate all complex claims that have been allocated in accordance with agreed internal service levels and best practice requirements.
Develop and maintain technical skills to enable accurate assessment and reserving of complex claims in accordance with specific best practice guidelines and specified authority limit.
Promote compliance with best practices for all aspect of claims
Assist Underwriter with monitoring market/industry practices in claims handling, trends and update the team on a timely basis.
Build relationship with internal and external customers acting as a point of referral.
Project a positive image of the claims Department at all times leading by example.
Required:
Advanced expertise and knowledge in Travel, A&S claims handling
Advanced ability to interpret policy wording
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to effectively manage all internal and external stakeholders.
Advanced knowledge of legal, regulatory & procedural requirements on A&S claims handling.
Strong customer service skills
Ability to organize work effectively and methodically. Highly adaptable to change in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to identify trends
Ability to identify opportunities to improve process.
Preferred:
Knowledge of French would be an asset.
Verbal and written proficiency in the English language is required in order to facilitate communication with internal and external key stakeholders located outside of Quebec.
