Zurich is currently looking for a Design and Development Specialist B. This position may work out of one of the following North American offices: 100% Virtual
Designs and develops learning solutions across a variety of topics such as insurance knowledge, workflows/processes, technical systems, professional and management development. Works in collaboration with Program Managers and Subject Matter Experts to design and develop instructionally sound learning material to address specific tactical needs within the organization or defined target objectives. Participates in the following phases of the learning solution lifecycle: analysis, design, development and evaluation.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Assesses the training and development needs of customers, provides technical advice, and develops training interventions that enable customers to close performance gaps or improve quality and productivity related performance
Creates measurable course objectives and goals. Follows up on the impact of previous training initiatives to determine if new performance issues exist
Maintains flexibility and adjusts project plans as needed to meet business unit goals
Prepares detailed technical information for different types of audiences and skill sets.
Determines the best method for delivery of training to customers and follows trends in the training field in order to provide the best and latest techniques
Updates and revises training materials and resets priorities and the use of various resources to meet changing needs and goals
Develops material for a variety of delivery methods.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area
OR
- High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area
OR
- Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Curriculum Design area
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong sound instructional design practices and principles for various modalities and delivery methods
Strong technical writing and editing skills
Ability to demonstrate creativity in the design of training methodologies and materials
Strong knowledge of web meeting tools
Strong project management and time management skills
Strong Microsoft Office skills
Strong working knowledge of course development tools such as Articulate and Captivate
Experience in financial services/insurance environment
Experience consulting with business partners or clients
Experience in meeting facilitation
The salary range for this role is $59,840 - $74,800. This is the range Zurich NA in good faith believes is the range possible compensation for this role at the time of the posting. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed Remotely in any US state. Base pay offered may vary depending on, but not limited to education, experience, skills, geographic location, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also bonus eligible. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
