Solution Senior Lead - Business Transformation
Business Transformation is seeking a Solutions Senior Lead to join the Business Improvement team supporting a wide range of enterprise efforts in alignment with organizational strategic plans. Preference is to finda well-qualified individual to work, in a hybrid role, from the North America Headquarters in Schaumburg, IL, but consideration will be given to applicants out of any Zurich office location (as well as remote employees).
This is the highest-level senior consultant leading projects that support global and regional strategic and operational priorities. Leads the largest and most complex projects, which are often cross-functional and highly visible. Project responsibilities include creating and executing on the solution delivery project plan, designing, and implementing business solutions. Takes a proactive, holistic approach to business practices and processes; provides methodologies, tools, and measurements to sponsors. Ensures appropriate change management practices are effectively utilized throughout the lifecycle to improve execution and delivery of results. Partners across the business to identify, develop, and implement change management strategies; acts as a leader, influencer, and change agent in the implementation of initiatives that support the strategic priorities and transformational projects.
The Solutions Senior Lead – Business Improvement responsibilities include:
Acts as a resource on cross-functional initiatives and projects to provide the common change management and implementation view where appropriate
Demonstrates ability to create 'win/win' solutions through leadership, influence, facilitation, and teamwork
Partners across the business on the identification of business improvement opportunities, and acts as a catalyst to accelerate and drive the execution of solutions
Participates in the development, implementation, and institutionalization of best practices around execution and change management
Provides methodologies and tools to support sponsors & teams to drive initiatives to intended results, institutionalize the process, and develop a culture that embraces change
Ensures specific metrics and measures incorporated into solutions reflect the business strategy, track progress, capture the impact of changes, and identify further opportunities for improvement
Interacts with SMEs and key management across the organization, both regionally and globally.
Leverages skills and resources from various functional disciplines (e.g., Human Resources, Underwriting, Information Technology, Claims)
May initially administer one or more business applications, including leading User or Prioritization Councils, annual planning of enhancements and releases, prioritization of enhancements, testing, communication, and implementation
Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaOR
School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting areaAND
Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management
Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools
Project management experience
Experience leading large, complex projects from idea to post implementation
Experience in establishing new capabilities within a company
Experience coaching and developing others
Ability to develop collaborative relationships
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization from entry level to senior leaders
Property and casualty insurance experience
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong change management, project management, process management, and communication and training plan development experience
Experience developing change management plans, executing the plans, and measuring results
Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Experience with underwriting technology landscape and tools
Influence and negotiating skills
