Senior Casualty Risk Engineering Consultant
Zurich’s Risk Engineering Casualty South Team is seeking a Senior Risk Engineer with Large Casualty experience to support our Casualty business unit. This role includes account engineering responsibilities. This is a work from home role, ideally positioned in the Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA areas, will also consider a location within the South region. This role includes a company car with expected travel of up to60%.
Our Senior Casualty Risk Engineering Consultant is responsible for:
Providing industry expert risk improvement services to customers and risk assessment services to underwriting business partners
Assessing and providing casualty account engineering services for workers compensation, general liability, products liability and motor fleet to ensure that delivery is proper, on-time, and cost effective
Managing a portfolio of business and providing account level engineering to meet underwriting requirements
Anticipating, recognizing, and responding to the needs of customers by providing expert solutions and training to key customers and contribute to business operation profit through opportunity spotting and cross selling.
Marketing and delivering casualty consultative services to customers, including identification of exposures with significant loss potential, performing loss investigations (including both trend and root cause analysis), implementing service strategies that reduce casualty exposures, developing risk improvement advice that assists our customers in improving their business.
This position works closely with our customers, brokers and underwriting business partners and requires the ability to coordinate services using tablets and Microsoft Office suite programs.
Final candidates will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle record background check, as this position will include a company car.
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering areaAND
Experience working in a team environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Health and Safety, or related degree
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) and/or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation
Account Executive & Loss control/Risk Engineering experience within:fleet safety/auto, heavy manufacturing, steel production and fabrication, healthcare, staffing & PEOs,
Knowledge of Lock-Out/Tag Out & Machine Guardingand associated risks and exposures
Experienced with JHA Development, Training, and Follow-up
Industrial Worker Safety (JDAs, PDAs, S&F, STIPP)
Energy casualty customer experience with advanced level of knowledge of OG&P processes, safety, quality and associated risks and exposures.
Strong communication, consultative and marketing skills
History of working successfully in a team environment with outstanding collaborative skills
High degree of proficiency related to IPad, PC, Microsoft Office software systems
