Regional Distribution Manager, Accident & Health
Zurich North America, a leader in the global Accident & Health insurance industry, is currently hiring for a Regional Distribution Manager (RDM) for our U.S. Accident & Health strategic business unit.
The position is accountable for:
Establishing and executing the distribution strategy for our Group Accident products and propositions in the Midwest Region.
Identifying, developing, managing and stewarding new and existing distribution partners for the same.
Collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders to drive profitable growth.
Working in both existing markets and in new ones that we are entering as part of our Accident & Health growth plan.
Group Accident products and propositions include:
Business Travel Accident including international programs.
Corporate and specialty AD&D plans.
Leisure Travel insurance.
Student/Study Abroad and Participant Travel insurance.
Voluntary Benefits including Accident Medical, Critical Illness and Hospital Indemnity.
Special Risk including Student and Participant accident.
Travel Assistance services.
As a Zurich Group Accident RDM you will be accountable for:
Establishing and executing the distribution strategy for the Group Accident portfolio in the Midwest Region.
Achieving new business sales and growth targets for the Group Accident portfolio in the Midwest Region.
Identifying, developing, managing and stewarding new and existing distribution partners.
Aligning with distribution partners to achieve specific sales, retention, rate and profitability targets.
Delivering the value propositions of the Group Accident portfolio and its products and propositions in the Midwest Region.
Providing distribution and sales leadership including by contributing to the coaching and mentoring of other market facing staff.
Collaborating with other Zurich business units for cross-sell opportunities.
Collaborating with underwriters, underwriting management, senior management and various other internal and external stakeholders to deliver on all of the above.
Bachelor’s Degree and 6 or more years of Insurance Distribution Development and Management, Sales or Market Facing Underwriting experienceOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of Insurance Distribution Development and Management, Sales or Market Facing Underwriting experience
Experience in Accident & Health Leisure Travel or Voluntary Benefits
Demonstrated ability to establish and execute effective distribution or sales strategies
Strong understanding of the insurance industry from a market and distribution perspective
Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships externally and internally that can deliver on sales, retention and profitability goals
Ability to analyze and understand financial and performance metrics
Ability to identify business trends, changes in market conditions and competitor activity
Strong verbal and written communication skills
