Product Development Consultant - Senior or AVP
Zurich North America is currently searching for a Management Liability Product Specialist - Senior or AVP in multiple areas including New York City, Atlanta, Chicago, Schaumburg, Philadelphia, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, San Francisco and we are also open to remote work as well. In this exciting role you will use your expertise in Management Liability (Public and Private),products to help construct policies, create coverage enhancements, draft manuscript endorsements and provide guidance to underwriters. As a Management Liability Subject Matter Expert, you will collaborate with the product officers, market basket leaders and other key constituents to create new policy forms and endorsements for our Financial Lines products.
This role is embedded in the Financial Lines Business Unit and ultimately reports up to the Head of Financial Lines for Zurich NA.
The Financial Lines Underwriting Product Specialist- Senior or AVP will be responsible for:
Leading the development and implementation of new policy forms, coverage enhancements and manuscript endorsements
Identifying market standard product opportunities based upon review of competitor forms and industry trends
Maintaining the forms library with relevant updates and modifications
Collaborate with Underwriters in responding to coverage requests and draft language for specific transactions and portfolio coverage enhancements
Works closely with distribution partners and/or risk managers to align on policy wording that addresses their unique exposure(s) in the policy
Supporting underwriting strategy and product development by incorporating lessons learned from competitor forms and approaches to coverage in new products
Participating in compliance-related queries, including state regulatory exams and insurance department inquiries
Collaborate with various functional areas across the organization, including underwriting, claims, actuarial, legal, marketing, and regulatory compliance in creating products.
This role will be filled at either the Underwriting Senior or AVP level and will report to the Underwriting Financial Lines Product Manager. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
Basic Qualifications-Financial Lines Underwriting Product Specialist - Senior
- JD and 6 or more years of experience of law practice specializing in the insurance area
Basic Qualifications-Financial Lines Underwriting Product Specialist - AVP
- JD and 7 or more years of experience of law practice specializing in the insurance area
Product Management experience including policy creation and drafting of manuscript endorsements
Financial Lines product experience
Compliance and Regulatory experience
Strong organizational and analytical skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Regulatory expertise relating to product filings and state required policy provisions is a plus
