Senior Construction Risk Engineering Consultant

Description

Zurich is currently looking for a Senior Construction Risk Engineering Consultant to service customers within our New England territory. The ideal candidate will be located within the greater Boston area. This is a work from home role and includes a company car with expected travel of up to 30%.

In this role you will provide risk assessment and risk improvement services for customers and business partners in construction. You will be a recognized expert with an enhanced level of expertise in respect to construction safety.

Additional responsibilities will include:

  • Provides advanced construction safety consultative services to customers, including identifying exposures with significant loss potential and hazard/safety management programs.

  • Provides advanced level training for customers, service design and coordination, mentoring and marketing.

  • Will provide support to the Boston office underwriting teams.

  • Market construction risk transfer insurance products in conjunction with construction underwriting professionals and agents across company business segments.

  • Develop and implement customer service strategies that save lives, reduce loss and improve customer operations.

  • Develop and maintain positive customer and business partner relationships, and collaborate with both customers and Business partners to develop appropriate service plans.

Final candidates will also be subject to a Motor Vehicle record background check, because this position includes a company car.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area

OR

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering area

AND

  • Experience working in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Construction safety experience with an advanced level of knowledge of construction processes, safety, quality and associated risks and exposures

  • Corporate Safety or Project Management experience

  • Professional certifications: CSP, ARM, CHST

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Degree in Safety or Construction Management

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
