Zurich NA Liability Paralegal in Boston, Massachusetts
Zurich is currently looking for a Liability Paralegal to work out of our Staff Legal office in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Paralegal will perform a broad range of administrative and secretarial support. They will organize and maintain all electronic and paper files that relate to litigation and administrative matters. They will apply their knowledge of legal document formats to transcribe and/or type contracts, briefs, summonses, complaints, and motions.
This role will support the following territories: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island.
Additional responsibilities will include:
Providing administrative support to two Liability attorneys such as answering the phone, scheduling and maintaining calendars, etc.
Responding to inquiries from and interacting with customers, clients, counsel, and witnesses
Drafting legal pleadings, correspondence, and other documents as directed
Maintaining accurate systems for assigned attorneys' cases
Organizing and maintaining case files and documentation, electronically
Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed
Associate’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Legal or Legal Support areaAND
Experience conducting electronic database research
Experience drafting legal documents, correspondence, and/or pleadings
Experience working in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island
Insurance industry experience
Ability to effectively conduct electronic database research, including Lexis Nexis
Microsoft Office skills
Certified Paralegal (CP)
Certified Legal Assistant (CLA)
Professional Paralegal (PP)
