A&H Strategic Sourcing & Implementation Specialist
Zurich North America is looking for a Strategic Sourcing and Implimentation Specialist to support our growing Accident & Health organization. Ideally this role will be based out of our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania office but we are open to this role being based out of our North American Headquarters in Schaumburg, Illinois or virtual.
This role will be filled at either the Specialist (II) or Consultant (III) level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
The A&H Strategic Sourcing & Implementation Specialist is primarily responsible for leading and coordinating cross-functional due diligence reviews and the onboarding of new strategic partnerships. Other duties may include:
Secure delegated program authority from Technical Underwriting
Secure benefit administrator authority from third party administrator operations
Secure Zurich Risk Policy (ZRP) exception approvals from Technical Underwriting and Group Reinsurance
Lead and coordinate cross-functional annual delegated program reviews
Secure agreements in conjunction with Legal, Sales & Distribution, Third Party Administrator operations and/or Group Reinsurance
Lead and coordinate cross-functional team meetings
Develop and maintain project plans including milestones
Coordinate, document, and drive A&H organizational next steps
Communicate challenges to A&H leadership.
Specialist (Level II) Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 1 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaAND
Knowledge of line/s of business and the legal and regulatory guidelines
Knowledge of time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
Experience with Microsoft Office
Consultant (Level III) Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting Market FacingOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support areaAND
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
Experience working in a team environment
Extensive experience in commercial Accident & Health insurance
Project Management experience including delivering projects on-time, within scope, and within budget
Experience in/with Home Office Underwriting or Technical Underwriting
Strong verbal and written communication skills
