Regional Vice President Life Sales Central Region
Zurich North America is currently looking for an experienced Regional Sales Vice President, Life Insurance for the Central Region. The ideal candidate for this role will be located in Texas but we will consider other locations. This role will provide regional sales leadership and is required to secure and retain profitable new business production opportunities for Affluent Markets Group.
High Level Influencer Externally Focused - The job’s core deliverables rely on influencing or negotiating with external contacts on strategic impact matters. Relationships typically involve persuading or countering opposition, often with vendor representatives or senior management level customers.
This role is responsible for:
Meeting or exceeding the assigned region’s quarterly and annual new business sales quotas as established by senior management
Recruit and manage a growing unit of brokerage general agencies and/or producer firms (distribution partners) that operate in the affluent markets
Proactively work with key distributors to promote the Zurich brand and establish excellent long-term relationships
Lead the effort to ensure that the distribution partners in the assigned territories are knowledgeable in Zurich’s affluent markets products and services
Manage the compensation system consistent with desired company guidelines
Establish and maintain professional and productive relationships with Zurich's Underwriting and Policyholder Service staffs
Partner and collaborate with the region’s assigned Field Marketing Consultant
- Bachelors Degree and 10 or more years of experience in the Sales area
15 or more years of independent distribution sales management experience in the US life insurance industry
10 or more years experience in the large case, affluent market segment
10 years independent distribution sales management experience in the U.S. life insurance industry
10 years of experience in the large case, affluent market segment
Strong ability to communicate, advanced sales techniques to distribution partners
Working knowledge of peer competitors’ products and advanced sales strategies
Industry knowledge accreditation (e.g. CLU, CFP, etc.) or equivalent experience
