Zurich is currently looking for a CROP Intern to work out of ourRural Community Insurance Services (RCIS), Portfolio Optimization Group in our Texas Territory.
RCIS provides insurance and superior services through leading agents to protect America’s farmers and ranchers. It’s been an innovator in crop insurance since the crop insurance business was privatized by the federal government in 1980. Today it’s one of the nation’s largest crop insurance providers, offering risk management protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 4,000 professionally trained and licensed agents.
This intern will work under immediate supervision and perform requested tasks alongside professionals who perform these roles. Generally, this position is part of a summer program with an assigned mentor.

Basic Qualifications:
Actively pursuing a Bachelors degree in Data Analytics, Statistics, Finance or related field
Currently enrolled in a Bachelors program and will be enrolled in the fall of 2021
Two or more years of college coursework (should be a rising Junior or Senior)
Minimum cumulative current grade point average of 3.0 (current could mean last semester GPA)
Be legally eligible to work in the U.S indefinitely
Preferred Qualifications:
Coding: SAS, Visual Basic, R Studio
Intermediate Microsoft Office
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Problem-solving skills in a customer-focused environment
Quick Learner
Experience in a leadership role
Self-motivated and able to work independently
Strong interest in the insurance industry
