Property Claims Adjuster I
We are currently seeking an individual interested in expanding their insurance career in commercial property technical claims handling.
You will work closely with more seasoned individuals on the team while handling a caseload of commercial property claims of lower complexity and risk exposures. You will also learn how to effectively manage your claims caseload in a paperless environment through resolution, and in accordance with Zurich’s best practices and authority limits.
This is an opportunity to develop your technical skill set in policy interpretation and coverage analysis. In this role, you will be expected to collaborate and develop partnerships with internal and external points of contact including customers, vendors, suppliers and brokers to provide a quality claims experience.
At Zurich North America (ZNA), the Property Claims organization is dedicated to helping our customers mitigate commercial property and business interruption losses related to structural building damages and content losses as a result of weather events, theft, water or flood damages, and vandalism. Our purpose is to get our customers back on their feet and operational as quickly as possible.

We prefer that candidates are able to work from the Schaumburg or Dallas offices, but will also consider candidates that can work from the Atlanta office.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaOR
1 or more years in the Zurich North America Claims Foundational Training ProgramOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree with 2 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance areaAND
Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
Customer service experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience collaborating across work groups
Organization skills and time management skills
Microsoft Office experience
Juris Doctor and 1 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling or Insurance area
