Executive General Adjuster and Assistant Vice President, Commercial Large Loss Property Claims
Zurich is currently searching for an experienced Claim Professional to join our large loss commercial property technical team.
In this role, you will independently manage a large loss caseload of high exposures and complexity, leverage your litigation claims management expertise and participate in catastrophe response as needed. You will maintain Zurich North America’s high standards of claims service excellence and best practices, and effectively develop partnerships with key customers, brokers and other internal and external stakeholders that are critical to the success of the claims lifecycle.
You will work out of a home-based office.
We prefer that this individual be located in the Northeast or Midwest states, however we will consider other areas that optimize the needs of our business and our customers.
You must be willing and able to travel up to 50%.
Bachelor’s Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Technical Claims area to include handling of larger, more complex commercial property claimsOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Technical Claims area to include handling of larger, more complex commercial property claimsOR
Juris Doctor and 6 or more years of experience in the Technical Claims area to include handling of larger, more complex commercial property claimsOR
Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims Handling area within the Insurance industry to include handling of larger, more complex commercial property claimAND
Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)
Customer service experience
Microsoft Office experience
7 or more years of claims experience in the commercial property line of business Litigated claims file handling experience that includes arbitration, mediation, trial experience in large property losses and exposures
Extensive knowledge of commercial construction and time element
Advanced knowledge of the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment
Insurance designations such as SCLA, CPCU, AIC
Strong communication skills
Experience collaborating across work groups
