We are currently seeking anexperienced Construction Claims Professional to join our team. At thislevel, you will handle a caseload of Subguard claims of moderate to highexposure and complexity. You will manage claims through full cycle toresolution, and in accordance with Zurich’s best practices and authoritylimits. In this role, you will be expected to manage your cases more independently,and handle communications with key contacts, customers and brokers.

Subguard is a two-party P&Cinsurance product offering provided by Zurich’s Construction Business Unit thatindemnifies a General Contractor in the event a covered subcontractor fails tofulfill its contractual obligations.

We prefer that this position be located in Schaumburg but will also consider the following office locations: Dallas, Atlanta, Omaha, Jersey City, Rancho Cordova and Woodland Hills.

Approximately 10-20% businesstravel may be required.

You may eventually have theopportunity to participate in Zurich’s Flex Work program and work from home upto 3 days per week.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor'sDegree and 6 or more years of experience in the Claims or Litigation areaincluding General Liability, Construction or property claimsOR

  • HighSchool Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims orLitigation area including General Liability, Construction or property claimsOR

  • Zurichapproved Apprenticeship program including an Associate Degree and 6 or moreyears of experience in the Claims Handling area within the Insurance industry includingGeneral Liability, Construction or property claimsOR

  • JurisDoctor and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims or Litigation area includingGeneral Liability, Construction or property claimsAND

  • Mustobtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)

  • Knowledgeof the insurance industry, claims and the insurance legal and regulatoryenvironment

  • Negotiationexperience

  • Customerservice experience

  • MicrosoftOffice experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5 ormore years of claims experience in General Liability, Construction or propertyclaims

  • Insurancedesignations such as SCLA, CPCU, AIC

  • Analyticalskills

  • Strongcommunication skills

  • Abilityto work independently

  • Experiencecollaborating across work groups
