Zurich is seeking an experienced Risk Engineer to support the Captives Account Team. This role is virtual with responsibilities in sales/distribution and account management nationwide and includes a company car with expected travel 50%.

10% to 20% UW insights
The primary responsibilities for this role will fall under two areas sales & distribution and account executive/ management. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing and driving captive growth. Within the account coordination role responsibilities will include monitoring budgets/service needs.
Zurich’s Risk Engineers provide risk assessment and risk improvement services for customers and business partners in specific or multiple lines of business. Acts as a recognized expert with an enhanced level of expertise in respect of a specific line of business or significant risk area.
Responsibilities include:
Work in a team environment to support underwriting and captive members.
Develops strategy to manage and oversee captive risk management support.
Identify and quantify the potential risk of loss from policyholders (members) and the captive as a whole while establishing appropriate service plans and objectives to address actual / potential loss drivers.
Supporting Underwriting in analyzing new and renewal business.
Developing and maintaining relationships in support of business retention, acquisition, and growth.
Working directly with captive consultants and members determine their risk management/mitigation related needs and provide solutions.
Collaborate with internal and external business partners to growth ZRS fee and provide innovative solutions to positively impact the profitability of the captive.
Oversee field RE staff to execute on service initiatives and ensure service allocations are utilized and monitored.
Participate in Board Meetings and Captive Workshops
Support earned fee growth and development of captives.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelors Degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering areaOR
High School Diploma or Equivalent and 8 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering areaOR
Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associates degree and 6 or more years of experience in the Risk Engineering areaAND
Experience working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Sales /Distribution
Strong communication and organization skills
Experienced in Property & Casualty engineering/loss control/risk management (workers compensation, auto, property, product and auto)
Experience working within Captives and/or Programs.
Knowledge of Fleet and Construction occupancies

We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary rangefor this position is$110,700.00 - $181,400.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
